This is Tunnels beach looking at the water from
where we set up the dive gear. Taken in the early am you can
just see the outer reef where the waves are breaking in the
distance. George and Jeannette met at this beach right in the
center of this shot about 15 feet back from the waters edge.
They got married a little to the right about 4 years later.
Most of the guides that use this beach to lead
dives today were trained by them and went off to have their own
little companies. In fact George and Jeannette have
trained more dive companies then any other instructors on Kauai
(talk about cutting your own throat).
Diveable only in the summer months (late March
to late November) this is still one of the best shore dives you
can do but you really need a guide to fully appreciate this
